cold and warm fronts

A front is a mass of air that move around like a cloud. There are cold fronts and warm fronts. A cold front is basically a mass of cold air hence the name. A cold front is a cold, moist mass of air. Cold air can’t hold as much water vapor as warm air, so if a cold front goes over a large water mass it will rain soon most likely because cold front can’t hold all that water so it drops it all off in the form of rain. A warm front is a mass of warm, dry air. The thing about warm air is that it can hold more water vapor. So it takes longer to rain. That’s part of the basics.

Another very crucial thing about cold and warm fronts is when they collide. What happens then is it creates thunder storms. When you get a mass of warm, dry air hits a mass of **cold, moist **air it fuses together and creates large amounts of static. That static eventually turns into thunder and lighting. Sometimes, hurricanes and tornadoes form from thunder storms. With just a simple rain cloud, it can it upgraded to a hurricane or tornado. In the long run of things a front is simply a mass of cold or warm air. When they collide they cause thunder storms.
